  • A host of job seeker-related services including resume development, job leads, and interviewing skills

  • Veterans services

  • Access to education and training providers

  • Partner services from local and state organizations

  • Vocation rehabilitation services for those with a disability

  • Plus connections to other supportive services

More intensive services are available to eligible individuals who are unable to obtain employment or are employed but need services to retain or enhance employment. Training services may be provided to those eligible job seekers who need specific skills to obtain or maintain employment. Licking County recognizes the need for community partners to work together to provide one-stop employment and training links to members of the community. Ohio Means Jobs enables job seekers and employers to access services, information, and opportunities at one central location.


Eligibility Requirements

Individuals needing basic job search assistance may access a variety of job search services free of charge at Ohio Means Jobs Licking County Employment and Training Center, 998 East Main Street Newark, Ohio 740-670-8700.

More intensive and training services are available to individuals who meet income eligibility and:

  1. Have been unsuccessful in obtaining employment, or are determined to need training,

  2. Who have the skills and qualifications to participate,

  3. Who select programs directly linked to employment opportunities,

  4. Are unable to obtain sufficient financial assistance through other resources.
