Prevention, Retention & Contingency (PRC) Supports

Licking County Job & Family Services provides short-term assistance to families with minor children who are in need. PRC is a county administered program that provides assistance to eligible, low-income families in need through federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Family (TANF) funds. TANF is designed to reduce the dependence of needy families on public assistance, provide an environment in which children can be taken care of in their own homes or in the homes of relatives, to prevent out-of-wedlock pregnancy, and to promote the formation and maintenance of two parent families. Licking County’s PRC program provides employment related supports to help community members gain, maintain or grow in employment. In general, to be eligible for work related supports, applicants must work at least 20 hours per week (or the equivalent of 20 hours per week at minimum wage), have income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guideline, and have a minor child living in the home. Other eligibility requirements may apply. For more information about eligibility or to apply for PRC employment related supports, please call (740) 670-8706.

If you are experiencing a financial hardship, or employed, you may be eligible for PRC supports.
